The stencils are made from the very best high tensile polymer coated board that has no rival in its class for quality and strength.

All polymers and finish sealers are designed and manufactured to tried and tested formulas that are unsurpassed in strength and wear qualities.

Stencil-Tech are the original manufacturers of stencil decorative products in Europe that are used by architects and designers around the globe to obtain a quality and pleasing result for their projects every time.

The featured test was carried out by CERAM Building Technology. The test proves that the Stencil-Tech wetcast and spray on system Lives up to its well deserved British Standard of certification.

All of Stencil-Tech products are accredited with British Standards certification as follows:

CERTIFICATION TO BRITISH STANDARDS

BS 6717 / PPTV (PENDULUM FRICTION VALUES) ASSIGNED S3
BS 6717 / ARC (ABRASION RESISTENCE CONCRETE) ASSIGNED A2
BS 6717 / USRV (UNPOLISHED SKID RESISTENCE VALUE) ASSIGNED S3

Our products have undergone freeze / thaw / heat / water /testing for 100 cycles at minus 50 degrees to plus 50 degrees with no sign of damage or fading of colours whatsoever.

Test Methods

concrete paving test methods

Abrasion Resistence

The test was carried out in accordance with BS6717: 2001: Precast. unreinforced concrete paving blocks. Requirements and test methods, Annex F (normative Method for measuring abrasion resistence. Each sample was tested on a single face only, with the abrasion carried out in two directions at 90 degrees to each other.

Skid Resistence & Polished Pendulum Values

The test was carried out in accordance with BS6717: 2001: Annex G (Normative) Method for determining the slip/skid resistence value. Each sample was tested in both directions longitudinally on the same wearing surface.

Resistence to Freeze/Thaw

The test was carried out to a method based on the standard specification for a cyclic freezing test, reference BCRL BM2: 1993. This test was developed by CERAM, and is now going forward for inclusion as the single frost test method in prEN1344: 1996.

CONCLUSIONS

Abrasion Resistence - The samples passed the requirements for Class A2, and can therefore be used where vehicular traffic exceeds 1.5 MSA.

Skid Resistence & Polished Pendulum Values - The slip/skid resistence value of the samples tested was 57, which can be assigned class S3, suitable for use in vehicular areas.

Resistence to Freeze/Thaw - The test conditions represent the most severe conditions to which pavers are likely to be subjected in practical situations. Experience to date has shown that pavers that are Known to be durable in practice will withstand 100 cycles of this test without frost damage. After 100 cycles the panel tested showed no signs of damage. Therefore the panel tested passed these requirements.
